Job Summary As the Facility Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall operations and maintenance of a commercial office space through strong communication and problem-solving skills. Now, if you were to come on board as a Facility Operations Supervisor, we’d ask you to do the following for us: Managing the day-to-day operations to ensure all contractual service levels are met and oversee vendors, contractors and landlord representatives in the successful execution of cleaning, maintenance and repair requests on building systems, furniture, and office equipment. Perform frequent facility and security inspections including documenting findings and tracking issues through resolution. Perform regular maintenance on the facility including changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing, and tile repair. Repairing Interior walls, and installing drywall for repair or replacement. Inspect the facility and other structures to detect malfunctions, furniture maintenance and conduct repairs accordingly. Be on-call for possible after-hour site emergencies; available for after-hour scheduled maintenance ad repair of various equipment and systems. Processinvoices and ensure proper cost center coding. Manage Facility Direct ticketing system. Human Resources and onboarding new hires (janitorial), including complete administrative and personnel files, hiring, training and discipline. Maintain appropriate budgetary and cost controls including inventory controls. Think you have what it takes to be our Facility Operations Supervisor ? Here’s how we’ll know you will be successful: 5 years’ experience performing and supervising facility maintenance and services within commercial or industrial buildings. Journeyman Certification in a Trade (Carpentry, HVAC, Electrical) preferred. High school diploma required; post-secondary education or equivalent experience desired. Possess excellent communication skills in English both oral and written. Physical ability to carry out the duties of this position. Ability to operate related equipment such as manual or electrical tools. Apply workplace safety practices in compliance with legislation. Valid Driver's license and a good driving record.
