About The Opportunity


Human Resources is going “Agile”! Do you want to be part of a progressive HR team and lead the end-to-end design of the Onboarding Experience at Bayshore HealthCare, a privately held Canadian company, that puts people first? We are experimenting with new ways of working by introducing human centric design and agile journeys into our operating model. If you’re tired of a dated and traditional way of working, here’s an opportunity for you to work with a small and nimble cross-functional team tasked with creating onboarding experiences that future employees will remember.


As the Experience Owner for Employee Onboarding & Transitions, reporting to our Chief Diversity Officer and Head of Talent, you will be accountable for the end-to-end employee experience. You will use human-centered design tools such as candidate interviews, prototyping and agile methodologies to dive into specific aspects of onboarding that need improvement. You will become acquainted quickly with the complexities and pain points of our existing onboarding journeys and reimagine future enhancements and functionalities. As a member of the Agile Team, you will also be responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing initiatives. You will liaise with stakeholders and cross functional teams to create, own, and manage the roadmap to bring the most value to the business and users.


You will leverage your tactical and diplomatic approach when solving problems with stakeholders, ability to challenge the status quo and to propose innovative solutions, build strong stakeholder relationships, as well as strong user-oriented approach and independent, autonomous working ability.

About Growing With Us – In This Role, You Will


  • Work with agile team/extended team members to provide expertise in answering questions, addressing ambiguities, and mitigating any issues
  • Participate in design groups and proactively recommend design leading practices and technical solutions delivering high business value aligned with strategic objectives
  • Provide HR process expertise and influence decisions on process design and solutions
  • Foster relationships with executive sponsors, key stakeholders, and employees/candidates/new hires
  • Ensure a consistent and integrated approach for HR transversal topics between Core HR, and Talent Acquisition etc. in addition to other domains such as Learning, Career Management, Orientation, Workforce Planning, Clinical, IT, Digital and Analytics
  • Be accountable for delivering incremental value every sprint, aligning with the overall goals from the businesses
  • Perform internal and external benchmark on HR processes and leading practices and corresponding solutions
  • Own the “experience” from a “what”, “why” and “how” perspective (accountable for vision and requirements) for end-to-end experience
  • Drive to identify, configure/build, and execute the onboarding roadmap including future functionalities for adoption.
  • Own backlog prioritization of work to keep the vision of the product up to date

Qualifications, Education And Work Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related scientific or technical discipline
  • Experience in other functional areas such as compensation, security, performance, Core HR, etc.
  • Fluent in English
  • Human Centric Design experience
  • 3+ years of Peoplesoft/Taleo experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project methodology (Agile methodology experience or certifications)
  • Project Management: Ability to lead, align, and collaborate across organizational boundaries with strong partnership skills to manage stakeholder expectations. Evaluate risks, assess impacts, and arbitrate.

  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly
