TerraWest Environmental is searching for an ambitious and independent-minded Environmental Project Manager to establish a TerraWest company presence in Alberta. This is at least initially, a work-from-home position.
Our Environmental Project Manager in Alberta will be a versatile professional that can take on all aspects a project cycle. The PM will be doing everything from business development, project budgeting, proposal preparation, fieldwork, and report production including environmental management plans. Fieldwork will entail environmental site assessments, detailed site investigations, compliance monitoring, auditing, and related contaminated sites services.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in a field relevant to the position. Membership with a professional organization is an asset;
• A positive, friendly, open-minded, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work with colleagues remotely;
• Strong computer skills with an ability to learn new programs quickly;
• Minimum of 7 years’ environmental consulting experience in progressively more senior roles, preferably at least 4 of these years working in Alberta;
• Ready access to a vehicle and a clean driving record; and
• Minimum 3 years direct experience in contaminated sites assessments and remediation;
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.;
• Proven project management skills;
• Ability and willingness to travel to other locations in Alberta in the course of normal work.
• A professional attitude to written and oral communications with clients and colleagues;
