The Employee Housing Attendant will be responsible for performing general activities that ensure a comfortable and safe living environment for all residents in Employee Housing. This is a diverse role that requires mobility, maintenance, cleaning, and excellent people skills. The Employee Housing Attendant will report directly to the Employee Housing Coordinator. The successful applicant must have good communication skills, be service oriented, efficient at planning and organizing work, critical thinking, and able to work independently.

Job Duties

• Perform regular cleaning of Housing common areas and rooms, as required.
• Perform regular property inspections of the staff housing including common areas, building/house exterior, and landscape.
• Respond to staff requests for maintenance, support, relocations, and changes of status, in staff accommodations.
• Groundskeeping (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep, mow, clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling systems).
• Washing and distribution of linens, including but not limited to washing, folding, collecting, sorting, transporting, and stocking.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
• Expected to be on-call as the Housing Department emergency contact in the absence of the Staff Housing Coordinator.
• Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds, electrical, plumbing etc. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, lawn mowers etc. Move & install furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Check staff in and out of housing.
• The candidate must have their own method of transportation to travel between properties.

Requirements

• Ability to perform minor repairs
• Strong written and verbal language skills
• Valid driving license and own vehicle preferred
• Positive and enthusiastic personality with a 'can do' attitude

Working Conditions

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Various indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds.

The operation of a vehicle when and if required.
