Job Details

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include

• Create customized enclosures, metal assemblies, and graphic overlays.
• Management experience.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with relevant specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Participate in project scheduling and provide cost/effort estimates to stakeholders.
• Work with other personnel and customers to resolve system malfunctions and provide technical support.
• Specify or design new components as required for assigned projects.
• Design SCADA control panels and create all accompanying fabrication and installation documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Motivated self-starter who can manage their time effectively with minimal supervision.
• 5+ years professional electrical experience, with a focus on SCADA control panel design and fabrication (below 1000 V).
• Experience creating electrical wiring schematics using CAD software.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent electrical field).
• Experience with SolidWorks Mechanical.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to relate effectively with all disciplines, both internal and external to the company. All business is conducted in English.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PCB design and layout, preferably using Altium Designer.
• Experience with hazardous locations design and equipment specification.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and best practices.
• Knowledge of North American electrical installation and safety standards, particularly the CEC and NEC.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems engineering.
• Knowledge of 12 and 24V automotive electrical bus design and the unique challenges therein.
• P.Eng. status in Alberta or equivalent in other province or US state
• Knowledge of oil and gas well completions, with a focus on hydraulic fracturing.
• Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 + Pro Panel.
• Experience with electrical integration of large off-highway engines and transmissions, including exposure to CAN bus communications (J1939).
