We are a growing company. One of our chief goals is to create new markets and increase our international presence. We are looking for an Electrical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a people person with a keen interest in learning new technologies and taking ownership of improving products and processes. The chosen candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the electrical design for Angstrom Engineering’s systems, including support for machine start-up and testing.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchase electrical hardware, interface with suppliers to provide innovative, cost-effective solutions and sort through options to procure required parts.
- Suggest modifications or changes to standards and procedures for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Electrical design utilizing AutoCAD Electrical.
- Applying Canadian Electrical Code, NEC and EN 60204 CE standards.
- Support the assembly team in solving electrical issues during the wiring, debugging, and installation of the machine.
- Designing circuits, integration of supplier equipment, balancing loads, sizing wire, and calculating FLA.
QUALIFICATIONS OVERVIEW:
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to solve technical problems.
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work and grow independently.
- Post-secondary degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience
- Resourceful with a proven ability to complete tasks on time and within budget.
