Job Description

Hi Potential Co-Worker!

My name is Madison. I'm the Founder and COO at GrantMe.

We are building the leading education planning platform for a future full of options. GrantMe is securing students' futures and when students and families feel they have options, the future looks brighter.

Education and careers are changing and the marketplace has been crying out for an innovative partner to help navigate the change. Our education platform is a student’s expert guide that removes uncertainty and creates options.

We are one of Canada’s fastest-growing startups and we have assembled a team of high-performers who are striving to be world-class in everything we do. We are intentional about creating a brand and culture that is consistent all the way through from company leadership to our students. So GrantMe is a place where people come to do great work, be surrounded by others who are developing themselves and want to push themselves. If you want to accelerate your career by 5 years, then GrantMe is the place to do it.

The Role: Admissions Consultant

Our company is looking for qualified and experienced Admissions Consultants to join our team. As part of the student success function at GrantMe, you’ll be a consultant and mentor for the next generation of students for education related matters. Every interaction you have with a student will directly contribute to helping them getting accepted to their top choice schools, have enough funding to be able to visit these schools and overall have a great transition to university! As an independent education consultant, you will also have a flexible schedule and the ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

As an admissions consultant, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing expert guidance and support to students on education-related matters through video calls
  • Talking to students who registered for our platform, show them our app's features, answer their questions, and plan for their success!
  • Collaborating with educators, student account managers, and parents to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Use internal tools to track activity and outcomes.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in education to ensure students receive the best advice possible.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for people who:

  • Possess the desire to learn and improve every day.
  • Have high energy, a positive attitude and are passionate about helping students graduate debt-free
  • Are results-oriented: will run through a wall to get stuff done
  • Are driven, self-motivated, and have a fantastic work ethic
  • Are authentic and want to support students in building their futures
  • Are self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Have at-least 1-2 years of experience at-least with an admissions committee experience.
  • Are great at navigating new software and learning on the fly.
  • Possess relentless resourcefulness. You always find a way to get stuff done.
  • Are masters of efficiency, are highly organized, and love using technology to get things done quickly
  • Have a keen desire to continually develop and grow their skills and are open to receiving feedback
  • Have been accepted into a top-ranked school/program in Canada or have directly supported someone who has

Bonus points if you:

  • Have been part of a startup or a high-growth tech company
  • Have pursued graduate level studies (Masters, MD, JD, etc)
  • Have participated in organized team sports

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Flexible hours & working situations
  • An energetic team of other professionals who are top in their field
