E-Commerce Marketing Manager
(20-30 hours/week)
The Wild Life Outdoor Adventures creates award winning outdoor-themed adventure kits, gear and educational resources sold across North America to get kids outdoors more often. Founded in 2019, we are a family run, high growth start-up based out of Calgary, AB. You can expect a fun, flexible work environment full of people on a relentless pursuit to be the #1 kids outdoor brand in North America.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ecommerce and Marketing Expert to lead and oversee the monthly subscription box part of our business. This position is part-time (for now), requiring 20-30 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements. Most importantly, you are driven and motivated by our purpose: to get more kids outdoors, more often.
Responsibilities:
- Manage META ads campaigns to attract and convert new customers, optimizing ad spend.
- Develop and execute engaging email marketing campaigns to boost subscriber retention and conversions.
- Lead strategic direction for ambassador and affiliate programs, ensuring effective execution.
- Revenue Goal Achievement: Take ownership of revenue targets and implement strategies to achieve and surpass them, with a focus on growing subscription box sales.
- Subscription Box Management: Oversee the end-to-end operations of our subscription box service.
- Utilize your experience with software tools such as Klayvio, ShareASale, META ads, and Canva to streamline marketing efforts and create visually compelling content.
- Utilize extensive Shopify knowledge to enhance user experience and optimize product pages for ecommerce success.
- Budget Management and monthly reporting on set KPIs
- Collaborate with influencers, ambassadors, and affiliates to expand the customer base.
- Maintain and optimize directory listings for increased visibility of the subscription box service.
Requirements
- Self-Motivated: A proactive and self-driven individual who can take ownership of tasks and drive initiatives independently.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze marketing performance data and derive insights to inform decision-making and optimize campaigns.
- Education or training in Marketing/Communications/Business or relevant field
- A genuine interest in the outdoors, getting kids outside, education and nature-related products will be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, proven ability to work independently and see projects through ideation to execution (and a willingness to try new things)
- In-depth understanding of digital marketing strategies, including email marketing, online advertising, and influencer marketing.
- A creative energy that will bring new ideas to the table
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in ecommerce and marketing roles, with a demonstrated track record of success in managing subscription based services and achieving revenue goals.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Shopify platform and its various features.
Details:
- 20-30 hours a week
- Office Presence: Be available to work in our Calgary, AB office for two days a week to collaborate with the team and participate in in-person meetings.
- Remote Work: Work remotely for the remaining two days a week, utilizing monday.com for team communication and project management.
- Start date: September 1st
- $25-30/hour, with additional quarterly bonus incentives tied to the achievement of revenue targets and marketing performance metrics (that we will set together)
