About Our Client: Our client is a leading electrical distribution company. As part of their ongoing commitment to innovation, they are embarking on a significant digital transformation. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the rebuild of their ecommerce platform.

The Project Manager will work directly with the head of the ecommerce platform and various other stakeholders across the United States and Canada. They will oversee the planning, development, and implementation of the new ecommerce platform, ensuring the project's successful delivery on time and within budget. A strong understanding of payments is a significant plus for this role.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as a primary point of contact and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, including the head of the ecommerce platform, our development team, and various business representatives in the US and Canada.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of the ecommerce platform rebuild project, from planning and design to development and launch.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, ensuring that all project activities are accurately tracked and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure the project aligns with best practice standards and our client's strategic direction.
  • Manage project risks and issues, proposing and implementing solutions as necessary.
  • Organize regular progress meetings, providing stakeholders with project updates and gathering feedback to align the project with business objectives.
  • Coordinate with the finance and legal departments to ensure all payment processes are compliant and secure.


Qualifications:


  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Asana, Jira, or Trello.
  • Proven experience in project management, ideally in the development of ecommerce platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with cross-border teams.
  • PMP or other project management certification is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce, including customer experience, SEO, and payment processes.


Additional Preferences:


  • Prior experience in the electrical distribution industry would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of payment gateway and financial regulations would be a plus.
