GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1979, Korite is the world’s largest supplier of high quality ammolite, a unique and colourful gemstone found in Southern Alberta. KORITE has several lines of business including loose stones, jewellery, and home décor that contribute to its multi-million dollar portfolio. While KORITE has traditionally prioritized Business-to-Business sales, it has recently redirected its efforts towards cultivating a robust Direct-to-Consumer brand presence.
The Marketing & Ecommerce Coordinator will report directly to the Manager of Marketing & Ecommerce.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Marketing & Ecommerce Manager with day-to-day operations of the eCommerce platform, assisting primarily with product uploads, campaign flips, and site merchandising as needed
• Work with the Manager of Marketing to create a social media strategy and content calendar for social media channels
• Own all social media scheduling and assist with day-to-day management, creating additional content for the channels as needed
• Develop content for styling stories, KORITE's blog and e-news programs, working alongside our content specialist for creation of assets
• Assist with customer service enquiries, and social media outreach
• Create post-mortem documents and reports for various marketing campaigns and their key KPIs
• Develop and grow online marketplaces for KORITE’s classic inventory
• Monitor key performance indicators for Digital eCommerce to identify and recommend opportunities to drive improvement
• Attend photoshoots as required and assist with the production of assets as needed
EDUCATION & TRAINING
• Bachelors of Business, Marketing or related field
• 1-2 Years experience in a marketing/e-commerce environment
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset
• Basic working knowledge of MS Office
• Experience in capturing photos and video using a DSLR camera
• Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, Shopify and SEO are considered assets
• Google or Hubspot certifications considered an asset
• Ability to shoot, edit simple videos/reels and create short-form and long-form content
• Experience using Later or social media scheduling and reporting software considered an asset
• Experience working with influencers (either paid or organic) considered an asset
SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Excellent time management, planning & organizational skills
• Proven interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
• Proven eye for detail
• Experience working on and managing multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to work independently
• Motivated, self-starter with the ability to function in an entrepreneurial environment with a high level of ambiguity and rapid change
This role is located in Calgary.
