Job Description

The Role:

This is an incredible opportunity for you to lead an embedded eCommerce team across a major CPG client driving eCommerce excellence across multiple channels. Based in Toronto, with access to a global network, you will lead a team of commerce planning and activation practitioners and be tasked with delivering eCommerce excellence, defining innovation roadmaps, embedding digital shelf strategy & shopper activation, and driving an omnichannel portfolio strategy across some of the world’s most recognizable brands.

Core to success will be your ability to bridge across brand stakeholders, performance managers and retail partners to ensure a top-down coherent strategy that ties back to broader brand media initiatives.

Outside of your primary relationship with senior client stakeholders, you will also sit on OMG’s eCommerce Centre of Excellence – having impact across Omnicom’s local and global network of commerce practitioners.

This role is perfect for someone commercially savvy who has a diverse background across functions such as brand innovation, digital shelf strategy, category management, revenue growth management (RGM), shopper insight, or customer activation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Amazon & retail media experience a must
  • 8+ years’ experience in eCommerce, insights, digital shopper marketing, or retail media at a digital agency, consultancy, or brand
  • A strong POV on commerce and the confidence to share it with the world
  • You live and breathe fantastic digital shelf fundamentals
  • Deep understanding of digital shelf tech stacks – from shelf analytics (Profitero, Edge by Ascential) to PIM/DAM (Syndigo, Salsify)
  • T-Shaped - you’re comfortable discussing commerce not only with ecommerce teams, but with brands, supply chain, demand planning, and RGM teams
  • Proven success in a matrixed client environment managing multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort with the nuances between global capabilities & local commercial realities for CPG brands
