Corporate Services – Clerks


Status 1 Regular Full Time


Salary Range $53,110 $66,389 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits, where applicable)


Work Mode Onsite


Location 3515 Wolfedale Road., Mississauga; travel to various Regional sites, as required


Hours of Work 35 hours per week

Records Management aims to ensure that full and reliable records are created, captured, managed as corporate assets, and stored in a well-managed system with appropriate recordkeeping functionality and security.


What you will do in this role


In this position, you will provide lead support and technical assistance to the Manager Access to Information & Privacy, and all Regional departments with respect to inactive records management. You will liaise and train designated department staff in records storage and retrieval of departmental files and boxes utilizing EIM, SharePoint, and various other Regional systems.


  • Performs other general clerical duties
  • Coordinates, prepares, and executes file/box destructions
  • Digitizes paper records to electronic formats
  • Develop and update Inactive Record Centre operations policy and procedures
  • Provide advice to programs regarding records management best practices and provide solutions to records issues
  • Re-file and inter-file records/boxes returned to the Inactive Records Centre
  • Coordinates all file(s) and box circulation of Peel Region's inactive records
  • Compiles statistical information on a daily basis while monitoring Inactive Records Centre space holdings
  • Training staff on appropriated inactive records practices and tools
  • Recommends program improvements
  • Analyzes and interprets departmental inactive files in accordance with the Corporate Records Retention & Classification By-law to determine suitability for storage


What the role requires


  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
  • Ability to travel to regional locations in Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon
  • Diploma or current certification in a related field
  • One to three years experience in an inventory, records storage environment. Combination of education and experience may be considered
