Controller - Montreal Hybrid - Pharmaceutical Up To 130K

Our client, an important pharmaceutical company is looking for a Controller for an 18 months contract with a strong possibility of permanence afterwards.

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Controller is accountable for the general accounting, accounts payable and payroll operations of the company, production of periodic financial reports and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Participate in the determination of the cost price.
• Propose solutions to improve the various processes and internal controls in place.
• Analyze variances and produce ad hoc management reports.
• All other related tasks
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of the accounting service
• Manage the annual budget process.
• Responsible for the continuous improvement of the financial information system.
• Develop and implement the company's policies, procedures and financial systems.
• Issue accurate and timely monthly financial statements.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage time well, through tight deadlines and to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• CPA, an asset
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Bilingual environment
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical skills
