Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
Keeran Networks is looking for a full-time Controller to join our team. The Controller will report to the CEO and will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the business by managing the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance. The Controller works closely with other departments to provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and financial policies and procedures.

• Accounting: Monitor day to day cash flow;prepare and complete monthly bank account reconciliations; prepare financial statements; maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; prepare tax returns; post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records; complete month end closing; upload files to the bank for payment, pay online bills, monitor statements; maintain electronic filing of accounting records.
• Payroll: Process and maintain payroll and vacation; calculate and process payroll deductions including taxes, benefits, and garnishments; prepare and post T4s; communicate with employees about payroll inquiries.
• Financial Management and Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statement; monthly financial reports including variance reports, GST, budget, and expense forecasting; complete annual audit preparation. Conduct analysis to identify trend, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Leadership: Manages the finance team and assist the team with hiring, training, and performance management discussions; ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Your resume should outline the following qualifications:

• Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling software
• 3-5 years' experience leading others
• 7+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, and business management
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis
• Previous experience working with a managed service provider would be an asset
• CPA Designation
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• How you demonstrate your financial expertise and your understanding of financial principles and accounting standards
• Exceptional communication skills: how you relate with others and discuss financial concepts even when you’re under the pressure of an interview
