Controller


The Controller is a mid-senior position responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company and oversees the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements. Using a forward-looking approach, you will lead the accounting team in developing financial information.


What will you do?


  • Managing the Corporate and real estate insurance risks.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Overseeing the operations of the transactional accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Staying abreast of financial related practices, trends, political/regulatory activities, and competitive economic changes which may affect the ability of the team to meet objectives.
  • Maintaining the chart of accounts and internal control systems over accounting transactions.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Monitoring the treasury daily and maximizing the efficient use or allocation of cash.
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Overseeing the payroll functions including all related regulatory tax compliance.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently, including tax planning and compliance.
  • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
  • Developing the team and improving their performance through coaching and feedback loop.
  • Evolving current accounting operations to manage the growth of the organization in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

  • Experience in managing a multi-level and multi-companies in different jurisdictions.
  • Possess deep knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Proven track record in project cost accounting and reporting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills across large and diverse business and ability to recruit and develop high-performing team.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess broad knowledge of income and excise tax rules.
  • Working experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Exposure to end-to-end Finance function.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • A CPA designation.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Working experience in Power BI, Synapse and/or Power Query.
