This role sits within LBC Tech, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank


The incumbent is responsible for analysis and reconciliation of various activities, internal accounts, and products. This includes providing subject matter expertise and support in monitoring and processing various tasks related to exceptions logs produced within and outside of normal business hours. This role includes analysis and review of several complex conversion related activities from different platforms.


Responsibilities


  • Investigates any irregularities and discrepancies within the defined SLA
  • Participates in special projects and carries out any other similar or general task at the request of their manager or that may be required by their function
  • Provides timely feedback, response, analysis and action on any exception logs and anomalies Validates the daily control activities performed within the team
  • Works with management to address any process or control gaps and makes recommendations on any opportunities for efficiencies
  • Assists in various daily and monthly reporting as required
  • Monitors and supports daily activities and job processing
  • Monitors escalated issues and provides progress report to impacted stakeholders or management
  • Responsible for control and reconciliation of multiple internal accounts, reports, and platforms related to conversion activities and other reconciliation and monitoring functions
  • Liaises with various internal teams, to investigate any anomalies in specific activities, including reconciliation of certain GLs and internal accounts
  • Escalates and makes recommendations or resolutions about any inquiries or issues requiring immediate attention
  • Ensures that any deliverable is accurate, clear, complete, and compliant with internal and external audit and regulatory requirements
  • Represents the team in various key initiatives and works closely with direct manager to ensure that any changes impacting the team are considered and addressed
  • Acts as a support lead in handling time sensitive and complicated tasks or activities
  • Works with management to monitor and manage various department mailboxes and reports to ensure that all items are within SLA


Qualifications


  • University Degree in a related field and 2 years of related experience in a similar environment; or, College Diploma and 3 to 5 years of related experience in a similar environment
  • Solid knowledge of Visa, banking, deposits, Mortgage, Loans, Securities, and other lending or investment products
  • Different shifts are needed to cover the monitoring during and after business hours
  • Familiarity with using large and complex financial database systems; ability to learn inquiry functions in back-office processing systems such as FDR and SIBL are assets
  • It may be required to be present in the office for particular tasks (hybrid mode)
  • Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset
  • Able to work in a high-volume environment with tight deadlines
