The purpose of this position is to lead Completions and Commissioning schedule development and monitoring as part of Project Controls team and help with application and maintenance of Project Controls related matters, including reporting.


  • Provide guidance and support to members of the ISBL and OSBL Commissioning Project Controls Team and assist in the development of key aspects of individuals roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist in the development of pre-commissioning and commissioning schedule and associated reports, the development of commissioning options/studies, the progress and performance reporting through the phase and leading junior project controls resources in the team.
  • Assist in development and presentation of all Project Controls related reports.
  • Actively participate in management meetings, organize and prioritize a variety of project tasks in an effective and timely manner, set team priorities and be a key member of the ISBL and OSBL Commissioning teams . The role will also assist with responsibility of coordinating / managing ISBL and OSBL Project Controls resources.
  • Assist in developing in forecasting manpower requirements on a discipline basis and advising any additional requirements to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project milestones.
  • Provide regular feedback to the management regarding schedule performance and productivity for further analysis as well as future applications to benefit from the current/live achievements and improve accuracy.
  • Assist in ensuring that the whole delivery team are focused on the current short and midterm goals and that a consistent message regarding requirements and areas of concern are communicated to all members of the Commissioning Team.
  • Ensure the correct metrics are used to develop analysis of current working achievements and identify future improvements, where required, on specific areas and/or disciplines/teams.
  • Responsible for developing and reporting statistical and visual reports related to performance and productivity, including skylines.
  • Responsible for a Planning/Scheduling team monitoring the status and progress of activities in the P6 schedule, performing comparisons against the baseline, analyzing schedule variances, reviewing delays and proposing schedule recovery alternatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Project related processes and procedures.

Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.


Basic Job Requirements


  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Advance Microsoft Excel and Power point Skills
  • LNG specific Construction and Commissioning experience.
  • Supervision of Project Control Staff, as necessary.
  • Onsite Commissioning Project Controls experience.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related Lump Sum / LNG projects execution experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to commissioning the project and complete the job
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Progress Reporting, data analysis and project Management support experience.

LNGC Rotational Schedule


This position is open to local candidates on a 5X2 schedule or on a 14X7 rotational basis with charter hubs out of Calgary, Edmonton, Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Prince George, Regina, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Halifax, and St. John’s NL.
