Giatec Scientific Inc. (Giatec) is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Developer to join our team. As an Azure Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements and best practices in our Azure cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with the development teams to ensure our cloud infrastructure meets the needs of our business and customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure cloud technologies and a proven track record of delivering cloud solutions.
The work location for this role is in Ottawa, ON. We are open to remote candidates, however, we prefer a candidate who can work in a hybrid environment both remotely and onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and deploy Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage account, virtual networks, and other Azure services.Identify and implement best practices for Azure cloud infrastructure.Evangelize best practices, assisting teams with implementation and knowledge transfer.Work with the R&D teams to ensure applications are deployed to the azure environment in a reliable and maintainable fashion.Develop and maintain documentation on the Azure environment, processes, and best practices.Stay up to date with new Azure features and recommend improvement to the current environment.Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:3+ years of experience with Azure cloud infrastructure design, implementation and maintenance.Strong understanding of Azure services and features, including virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks and security.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Adept at mentoring and guiding team members on best practices.Highly motivated and proven passion for continuous improvement.Ability to own and deliver complex solutions to real world problems.Ability to identify and provide solutions for Azure infrastructure issues.
