The Cloud Architect will play a key role supporting the defining cloud strategy and governance. They recognize the potential benefits of cloud computing while maximizing our existing data center investments.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual that likes to work on a variety of cloud services. They will work with a wide range of teams, from application support teams, cyber security and infrastructure, and privacy leaders to delivery teams, driving cloud strategy and governance.

This position emphasizes expertise in cloud strategy, governance, and adoption guiding our organization's digital transformation and enabling scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor junior cloud engineers, providing technical guidance and support in cloud architecture and design principles.
• Architect and implement cloud solutions using both Microsoft Azure and AWS, considering best practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on our organization's cloud strategy.
• Define and enforce cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards across all cloud deployments.
• Develop comprehensive cloud strategies ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud environments.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing cloud infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and recommending optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive cloud adoption initiatives, evangelizing the benefits of cloud technologies and promoting best practices.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in architecting and deploying infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and data protection best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in cloud governance, including cost optimization, resource management, and access control.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization technologies.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, designing and implementing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and toolsets, such as CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jenkins.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and VPNs.
• Knowledge of serverless computing, container orchestration, and big data technologies.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migration strategies.
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS (Azure preferred), such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
