Clinical Counselor Jobs

Looking for Registered Clinical Counsellors and Social Workers for contract work.

Orchard Valley Counselling Services is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Contract Counsellor to join our team on a contractual basis. As a Contract Counsellor, you will provide professional counselling services to individuals in need of support. Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering counselling sessions to address various personal and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, to provide comprehensive care
• Provide counselling services to individuals, couples, families, or groups, using evidence-based techniques
• Conduct initial assessments to gather relevant information about clients' backgrounds, concerns, and goals
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans based on their needs
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions to address issues such as relationship problems, stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, and other mental health concerns
• Stay informed about the latest research, techniques, and best practices in counselling and integrate them into your work

Requirements:

• Proficiency in relevant software and technology for record-keeping and communication purposes
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends to accommodate clients' schedules
• Current certification or license as a Counsellor or Therapist (e.g., Registered Psychotherapist, Licensed Professional Counsellor)
• Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches and techniques, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions
• Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field
• Proven experience in providing counselling services to diverse populations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathy, compassion, and the ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
