Job Description

We are currently seeking to add great talent to join our award winning Claims Advisor team!

The Claims Advisor will be responsible for intake and coordination of all insurance claims received through various channels. This is a client service role that will interact extensively with various parties involved in the claim process including Brokers, Insurance companies, Insureds, Adjusters as well as team members. In addition to claims intake and reporting support, this role must represent itself as a Claims Partner and advocate for our Broker client to ensure a successful claim experience.


Qualifications

*1 - 3 years of insurance adjusting industry or broker claims experience an asset.

*Post-secondary education or a combination of relevant education and on-the-job experience.

*Strong English oral and written communication skills; Mandarin an asset.

*Working knowledge of Auto/Property adjusting and claim adjudication process an asset.

*Prior experience in customer service environment required.

*Insurance Claims Licence and actively pursuing CIP designation preferred or willingness to enrol

*Proven ability to have an empathetic telephone manner, professional communication skills and mannerism throughout a telephone call experience.

*Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

This role requires the availability to work weekends and 3 days during the week with hours falling between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to accommodate hours of operation for the telephone queue.
