Job Description
Great opportunity in Surrey BC, we are currently looking for a Vehicle Processor to work in a busy automotive yard.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation of material to be processed, including removal of wheels/tires and occasionally all fluids, batteries, mercury switches, and catalytic converters as necessary. This position will make a great fit for you if you excel in manual and physical labor. If you are the type of person who can put their head down and focus on completing the task at hand, you are what we are looking for!
This is a full-time position, the ideal candidate will need to be available to start immediately. Need to meet schedule requirements.
Location: Surrey, BC -Location is a 20-minute walk from Scott Road Station. A vehicle is preferred for this position
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift Time: 6:30AM-3:00PM
Wage: $19H-$22H
You can meet the shift and schedule requirements
You are comfortable working in a physically demanding and outdoor environment
Equipment On-Site: Shredder, forklifts, skid steers, loaders, scrap handlers, mobile and stationary shears, car crusher, rock trucks, vacuum truck
You have Steel Toe Boots
You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia
Advantages
Hourly wage of $19-22/hourly
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift Time: 6:30AM-3:00PM
Located in Surrey (Close to Scott Road Station)
Transit accessible; Location is a 20-minute walk from Scott Road Station. (Vehicle would be preferred during this season)
Weekly Pay (Direct Deposits)
Minimum 40 hours a week and opportunities for overtime.
4% Vacation Pay added to every pay.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the removal of tires/wheels off of vehicles as they head for processing
Removing car batteries and stacking tires
You will be utilizing hand tools
You will be expected to work with a team of 7-10.
Lifting Requirements: 55 lbs. Occasional Lifting.
You are comfortable working in a physically demanding and outdoor environment (under cover environment)
Equipment On-Site: Shredder, forklifts, skid steers, loaders, scrap handlers, mobile and stationary shears, car crusher, rock trucks, vacuum truck, nonferrous baler
Participating in safety, quality and environmental inspections
Qualifications
Min of 1+ years of experience working in a yard or similar environment
You are comfortable working in an outdoor (bad weather) environment
Need to be able to work in a physically demanding atmosphere
You are capable and comfortable with utilizing hand tools, standing for long periods of time
Adaptability & sense of urgency
Good attitude and can work well with no supervision
Good attention to details, able to work in a team environment
You are able to work in a team environment or independently
Any knowledge of working with vehicles considered an asset
You are available to work Monday-Friday, Shift Time: 6:30AM-3:00PM
A vehicle is considered an asset as this location is a 20-minute walk from the closest Skytrain station
