What You’ll Be Doing

As an Associate, Commercial Cash Management, you will join CIBC’s Commercial Banking team to provide support to account teams through client acquisition, relationship management as well as providing transactional support for client specific financing solutions. This is a development role for the Commercial Banking Line of Business providing an opportunity to learn the products, processes, networks and functions to enable and equip the candidate to eventually progress to the Manager role. You will act as a key interface to internal partners in order to facilitate initial product installation and ongoing troubleshooting and you will apply product and client knowledge in the development of proposals, ideas and solutions to proactively meet clients’ needs. The Associate’s primary role is to support the managers in business development and maintenance of existing customer relationships.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How You'll Succeed

  • Client First - Proactively assess customer technology needs to determine feasibility of service adoption and propose solutions to meet those needs. Understand business and financial concepts to be able to explain the value proposition of cash management and its effect on the financial statements. Provide ongoing partnership and support to the client by understanding their objectives.
  • Relationship Building – Make an impact in your community, and show clients they’re appreciated by engaging in marketing and outreach activities. Develop new client relationships through your business development activist leveraging referral sources, existing clients and centers of influence.
  • Team Collaboration - Collaborate with your team members, supporting Account Managers to present specialized product offerings to clients, while helping to grow profitable business. Provide support for Treasury best practices and cash management solutions to meet client needs.

Who You Are

  • You're fluent in French and English to serve our clients in the community
  • You can demonstrate experience. You have superior analytical skills with high technical Excel and Powerpoint capacity, well-developed organizational skills to respond to continually evolving priorities and an aptitude for business development (sales) skills.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
  • You're passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships, and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You build trust through respect and authenticity.
  • You have a degree/diploma. You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration with knowledge of cash management products and service offerings.
  • You're driven to succeed. You are motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best to make an impact.
  • You embrace and champion change. You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.

What CIBC Offers

At CIBC, your goals are a priority. We start with your strengths and ambitions as an employee and strive to create opportunities to tap into your potential. We aspire to give you a career, rather than just a paycheck.

  • We cultivate a culture where you can express your ambition through initiatives like Purpose Day; a paid day off dedicated for you to use to invest in your growth and development.
  • Our spaces and technological toolkit will make it simple to bring together great minds to create innovative solutions that make a difference for our clients.
  • We work to recognize you in meaningful, personalized ways including a competitive salary, incentive pay, banking benefits, a health benefits program, defined benefit pension plan, an employee share purchase plan and MomentMakers, our social, points-based recognition program.

What You Need To Know

  • You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.
  • CIBC is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong. We seek applicants with a wide range of abilities and we provide an accessible candidate experience. If you need accommodation, please contact [email protected]
