General Accountability
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Statements, the responsibility of the Business Process Lead is to provide subject matter expertise in the area of Finance to transform and modernize legacy business processes by participating in the implementation of the SAP Procurement and Materials Management project. This will include expanding the general ledger account structure to provide greater insights for management.
Key Job Functions
- Comply with project management processes including issue and risk management and escalate as required to the Project Manager.
- Participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing of the new solution;
- Participate and provide input to project/end user training;
- Provide process knowledge of all reports used in Finance processes including external reporting translating those into business requirements for the future SAP reporting needs;
- Make recommendations to Sponsors and Steering Committee regarding necessary changes to business practices affected by the implementation of the Solution;
- Work with the project team to document the current (as-is) business processes with related policies, procedures used in the Finance and those that are integrated with other departments;
- Lead the modernization of TTC’s procurement and inventory GL account structure by defining the recommended account groupings inventory part codes should be mapped to in the future state
- Participate in project team meetings and Steering Committee meetings as required;
- Participate and provide input in workshops with the project team and vendor to assist in the to-be business process designs with other TTC stakeholders in developing the future to-be processes based on the project scope;
- Resolve issues escalated by the project team for the Finance business processes
- Provide input to change management/communications, cutover, deployment, and production support for the future sustainment team;
- Act as a key resource to support the mapping process required to convert the current (as-is) GL structure to the future recommended GL structure
- Provide input into and/or create and execute user documentation and training material;
- Provide input in the authoring of test cases and business scenarios and review results to ensure the solution is built according to the business requirements provided;
- Acting as the representative of the Finance Department on behalf of the sponsor;

- Communicate project issues/barriers related to Finance to the Project Manager as required;
- Resolve roadblocks that impact delivery of business process changes;
- Outline key business requirements for automated inventory obsolescence reporting
- Document gaps in to-be solution in regards to business process;
- Accurately represent all business requirements to the project to aid in the transformation processes;
- Provide process knowledge of TTC processes as it relates to the end to end Finance processes;

Education and Experience
- Experience working with Financial Statements and Inventory Reporting
- Experience related to the analysis and reporting of inventory related transactions, and in-depth knowledge of industry standard 3 way match reconciliation process; preferably using SAP
- Demonstrated experience with well-developed analytical and problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
- Demonstrated experience problem solving financial related reporting variances;
- Completion of a College diploma or University degree in a business discipline or the equivalent, combined with several years of experience in a similar environment using an automated financial system;
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in the use of a PC and computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Must be detail oriented as well as possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
- Knowledge of SAP would be an asset;
- Demonstrated skills in effective time management and completing con-current deliverables maintaining quality and timeline;
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to co-ordinate efforts of others to accomplish objectives;
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as a team member in a fast-paced and high volume environment with multiple deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
- Experience working on projects.
