The Associate Manager of Publisher Relations will identify, validate, and implement current and new opportunities to support Follett's course materials strategy. The position assists in publisher projects and communications, especially regarding our digital content category, enabling Follett ACCESS' success and growth. This position will understand the business needs, create solutions, and obtain the intellectual property required to meet needs. In partnership with the Sr. Category Manager, the Associate Category Manager will assist in implementing and managing effective plans, product placement, and strategies to drive and enhance sales of course materials, products, and services. This role will provide problem resolutions and escalations for the overall course materials category. This role will partner and collaborate with multiple stakeholders within Follett.
Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensuring timely and accurate implementation of pricing, catalogs, and communications, coordination across all stakeholder's deals, and record keeping. Work with internal teams to ensure proper setup is complete.
- Partner with the Publisher Relations team on implementing initiatives and reporting.
- Assist Sr. Category Manager with communication and project management with current and prospective publishers regarding Print Content, Digital Content, Follett ACCESS, pricing, product availability, catalogs, etc.
- Oversee Qs about digital sales and publisher rental reporting and manage interaction with publishers regarding sales reporting questions and follow-up.
Requirements:
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in making sound business decisions.
- Strong business acumen.
- Project management skills and ability to drive accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
- Travel Minimal, up to 10% annually.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
- 3+ years' of relevant experience managing complex problems, using curiosity to solve them.
