Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, energetic, positive and friendly member to join our team. As a member of the Admissions team, you’re supporting the career goals of our students from beginning to end. You'll chat with creatives and students from all over the world, listening to their personal yet unique stories and passions about the career. Most of our students are entering MAD Toronto as a post grad and are very focused and career driven, exactly the kind of students we want to pair with our exceptional roster of mentors. Planning, organizing and establishing a positive relationship with students, and feeling rewarded when you oversee their journey from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with student recruitment and the application process such as scheduling interviews, student follow-ups and campus tours
  • Ensuring compliance with the Private Career Colleges branch of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
  • Conducting and participating school/career day presentations and participate at trade shows as required
  • Coordinating enrolment effort with lead flow and established targets
  • Cooperating with the financial services office in tracking and assisting each new enrolment
  • Collaborating with the academic department to ensure student retention
  • Building and enhancing relationships with applicants, students, boot campers and graduates
  • Ensuring the admissions reports in Lead Center are up to date and accurate
  • Maintaining contact/rapport with students to monitor their progress during their program; practices “open door policy”
  • Welcoming new students by introducing them to the Learning Experience Coordinator and staff members
  • Effective project management with a variety of administrative tasks such as collecting, organizing, maintaining, or inputting data for various outreaches to agencies, clients, and students
  • Maximizing our admissions team potential - setting innovative strategies, achieving set targets, working closely with the marketing department to drive admissions and reporting on performance.
  • Analyzing lead quality and providing status reports
  • Managing and responding efficiently to a high volume of prospective students and professionals
  • Hosting info sessions, application interviews and events



Required Experience

This is a mid level role ideal for someone that has a minimum of 2 years of experience working in an advertising/marketing role, is passionate about the industry but is hoping to be in a role where they have a direct impact supporting a young creative career.



To be the best suited candidate for this role you need:

  • Comfortable with CRMs: Hubspot & Active Campaigns
  • High level of integrity
  • Understanding of the ad industry and the career opportunities available to students
  • Attention to detail while managing multiple projects
  • Affinity with and interest in education, advertising, marketing and creative communications
  • Uses evidence to support arguments or positions taken
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • High energy with warm and welcoming personality, a strong sense of the ‘other’ and an ability to empathise
  • Superior work ethic with the ability to initiate and remain on task without supervision
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to different tasks at hand
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate with management and students
  • Proactive and able to prompt others to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved, calm working under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
