Our Revenue Development Team:


Our revenue development team is made up of talented fundraising professionals across Canada, in the areas of major giving, direct response, annual giving and corporate, who work closely with our community of generous loyal donors to turn shared visions, passions and interests into meaningful impact in fighting the fire of arthritis. We are a national charity with local impact, and the donations from these individuals makes a difference for people living with arthritis in every province.


Purpose of Role:


Reporting to the Vice President, Western Canada, the Administrative Business Partner will play a vital role in providing strategic and critical executive-level administrative and project support. In this position, you will collaborate closely with other Western Canada leadership and Executive Teams, contributing to the enhancement of internal operations and fundraising efficiencies through innovative solutions. Key Accountabilities:


  • Manage upcoming deliverables and track revenue deliverables, including meeting preparation and logistics coordination.
  • Creating, editing and proofing a wide range of materials such as case for support, donor correspondence, stewardship and presentations reports, and lists.
  • Coordinate key projects related to donor stewardship and assist with day-to-day administrative fundraising activities.
  • Drafts and prepares a wide range of documents, agendas, minutes, donor correspondence, presentations, and reports.
  • Manage all aspects of the Vice President’s office, ensuring smooth operations and tracking strategic deliverables.
  • Provide main staff support to the Fundraising Council, including drafting agendas and minutes, tracking projects and priorities, and liaising with members.
  • Support the Western Canada revenue development Directors as needed on key projects and priorities.
  • Supporting donation processing, acknowledgement management, and donor relations activities working closely with the nationwide Donor Services team.
  • Works closely with fundraising staff on key revenue development projects, facilitating activities and initiatives with executive volunteers and major donors.
  • Proactively monitor and prioritize key donor and executive volunteer meetings, ensuring materials and deliverables are prepared in advance.
  • Independently plan and drive progress on all strategic development initiatives assigned.
  • Liaises with a broad variety of key stakeholders, including Fundraising Council members, major donors, development staff, volunteers, clients, government/elected officials, health professionals, partners and media.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of development activities in Raiser’s Edge, for key donor relationships.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills:


  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possession of a degree or college diploma in administration or a related field.
  • Vast experience in interacting with influential community business leaders and stakeholders of all levels.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience providing administrative and project support to senior-level executives or senior teams.
  • A responsive customer service outlook with a “can do” approach.
  • Displays strong self-motivation and the ability to excel while working independently.
  • Exhibits a professional image, manner and attitude, with a proven ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Unquestionable integrity, a highly nuanced sense of judgment and absolute discretion with confidential and sensitive information. Genuine and authentic, with a demonstrated ability to be tactful and diplomatic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. French language skills an asset.
