Job Description

Limagrain Cereals Research Canada is seeking a full-time, versatile administrative associate to ensure that administrative operations at our organization run efficiently. In this role, you will be supporting the breeding program with all administrative activities as well as support functions in collaboration with the BU's support functions. The position is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada reporting to the Station Manager of LCRC.

Limagrain Cereals Research Canada (LCRC) is a new and rapidly growing Canadian company, passionate about using its plant breeding expertise to support the Canadian grains industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* License agreements, material transfer agreements (MTA's), confidential disclosure agreements (CDA's):
- Manage license agreement templates in conjunction with the Legal team.
- Fill and prepare new license agreements from existing approved templates.
- Maintain company's license agreements, monitor deadlines, and assist with agreement renewal
- Assist with royalty payment collection.
* Financial controlling and reporting:
- Collecting and controlling information for financial report preparation, bookkeeping, payroll/timesheets, accounts Payable and due diligence of vendors.
- Preparing supporting documents for annual financial reports.
* Office Management:
- Manage inventory for office supplies.
- Shipping administrative documentation.
- Track shipments and follow up on shipment delays.
- Organize staff events.
* Human Resources:
- Manage and update employee files (excluding confidential information).
- Assisting in the preparation of employee contracts and monitoring contract deadlines.
- Maintain leave requests.
- Prepare onboarding kits for new employees (handbooks, contracts, office keys, and hardware)
* Safety:
- Participation in the company's Safety Committees.
- Reporting of Incidents/accidents.
- Management of safety operating procedures (SOP's), hazard analysis, and formal inspection documentation.
- Book/schedule safety training.
- Vehicles/Equipment.
- Management of leased and rental vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with vehicle insurance.
* Seed exchange for R&D activity:
- Coordinate shipment of seed.
- Update and maintain seed exchange documentation.

PROFILE:

  • A degree in bookkeeping, finance, or related discipline and legal, is desired. Applicants with equivalent job experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • To ensure success, you, as an administrative associate should possess a great track record in office administration and exhibit advanced organizational and planning skills and demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
