Accounts Receivable Co-Op Jobs

GFL Environmental is looking for an Accounts Receivable CO-OP to join our team based out of our Vaughan Corporate Office! Key Responsibilities:

The Accounts Receivable Co-op will work with a team responsible for the day-to-day cash application for Canadian operations. This position is accountable for timely, accurate posting and investigation of customer payments as well as account reconciliations.

• Investigation and resolution of cash application issues
• Preparation of bank deposits for multiple entities
• Reconciliation of returned items and chargebacks
• All other duties as assigned
• Communication with 3rd party vendor regarding EFT payments with remittance details
• Processing of credit card refunds
• Daily posting of payments by cash, cheque, credit card, online business banking and EFT

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

• Team player with positive attitude who takes initiative and has a strong work ethic
• Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail to ensure proper posting and clearing of outstanding items
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional, competent manner
• Must be registered in a formalized co-op program with your school and be eligible for the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP)
• Currently enrolled in a College or University Program, with a focus on Business and/or Finance
