About Us


The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and SNC-Lavalin. Shoreline Power Group will be completing the Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) project. The joint venture has been awarded a contract by Bruce Power to execute the Unit 6 and Unit 3 FCFR at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Kincardine, Ontario.


This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064, the project is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program to replace the main components of the reactor. Unit 6 is the first of six reactors being replaced by Bruce Power through the MCR program.


The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders for Unit 6 and Unit 3, as well as construction management and trade labor.


PURPOSE OF THE POSITION


The Project Coordinator- Quality, reporting directly to the Quality Manager, will play a key role in leading the timely and comprehensive completion and turnover of construction work package documentation. This co-op durationis for 12 months.


Essential Functions And Responsibilities


  • Provide support to the project for other areas of project closeout as required
  • Scheduling update or breakout meetings as required
  • Ensure completed packages are accurate and have been reviewed by the appropriate work groups
  • Coordination of NDE activities.
  • Daily action tracking of scheduled tasks to assure schedule adherence and identify any required escalations
  • Weld Maps
  • Developing and managing the tracking of document closeout (working closely with Document Control Team
  • Working closely with all series leads and CITP owners to drive completion of closeout
  • Welding Procedures
  • Creation of accurate as-built drawings and P&ID mark-ups.
  • PWHT Reports
  • Copying, filing, scanning and organization of essential Quality documents including but not limited to:
  • Provides status report of project milestones and adjustment to schedules
  • NDE Reports
  • As Built drawings
  • The maintenance of common logs i.e. Calibration, NCR, NDE certifications etc.
  • Manage the timely and frequent reporting of progress of document closeout
  • Liaise with client/ANI and other stakeholders as required to ensure packages include all required elements
  • Work closely with QA Close-out review team to coordinate any outstanding tasks

  • Our background check process includes a full security check and clearance process as well as reference checks. The security clearance process includes a comprehensive list of previous residences, employment, education, and other pertinent information. Those with a valid Bruce Power security clearance are strongly preferred.
