Accounting Assistant Jobs

We are seeking a Full Cycle Accounting Assistant to become an integral part of our team! Weather you are currently enrolled in an accounting course and looking for experience or an experienced accountant looking for career advancement, this is a great opportunity for you. You will enter client data, reconcile banks, file GST & PST returns, prepare financial statements for review, and assist with preparation of corporate income tax returns.
**This is not a remote position, applicants from outside Manitoba will not be considered.**
Responsibilities:
Enter client data and reconcile bank accounts
Prepare financial statements for review
Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
Perform other office tasks as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 Years of Public Accounting Experience / Education
Experience using QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50, QBO
Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Experience with GST & PST calculations and filings
Experience with tax software Profile or TaxCycle is preferred
