Accountant Jobs

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry (preferred). As an Accountant in the manufacturing sector, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, specifically tailored to the manufacturing industry.
2. Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses. Provide recommendations for cost reduction and process improvements.
3. Inventory Management: Oversee the valuation and control of inventory, including tracking raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate inventory records and minimize inventory discrepancies.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the manufacturing department. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
5. Cost Accounting: Implement and maintain cost accounting systems, including standard costing and variance analysis. Ensure accurate allocation of costs to products and departments.
6. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the manufacturing operations. Provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures. Assist with internal and external audits as required.
8. ERP Systems: Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to manage financial data, generate reports, and streamline accounting processes. Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems is preferred.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and engineering, to gather data, analyze costs, and support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferred but not mandatory.
2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment ideally, with a focus on cost accounting, financial analysis, and inventory management.
3. Knowledge: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting principles. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and terminology.
4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications. Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, is an asset.
5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
6. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, cost calculations, and inventory management.
7. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and present financial information clearly and concisely.
8. Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
