Job Description

The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. The person should be comfortable working individually, as well as part of a team setting. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Vacation Tracking
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Recording of daily sales reports
  • Year-end reports
  • Communicating with clients about any questions or concerns
  • Government reports and remittances
  • Daily recording of transactions into bookkeeping software
  • Creating Record of Employments for terminated staff
  • Processing and running Payroll using QuickBooks, RBC Express portal, and any other banking system as required
  • Balancing cash accounts
  • Other related duties as required
  • Accounts Payable (Paying Suppliers), Printing cheques and sending wires
  • Helping with yearly budgeting
  • Preparing month-end reports for clients and investors
  • Accounts payable and receivable


Qualifications

  • Ability to take the initiative to organize workload efficiently and manage to meet all deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • QuickBooks Online experience is an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in bookkeeping or payroll experience would be an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Extensive knowledge in excel and word
  • Excellent organizational skills
