Job Description

Our client is seeking a bookkeeper with a full cycle of bookkeeping experience.

The ideal candidate must be able to work for two days a week in the office in Ajax.

Responsibilities

  • Contacting clients for documents required to complete bookkeeping assignments.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, HST reconciliations, payroll, WSIB, EHT and GST/HST remittances
  • Prepares various ad-hoc financial reports analysing information and trends for clients
  • Apply appropriate tech stack and procedures to optimize workflow for the firm
  • CPA firm experience is an asset.
  • Full cycle bookkeeping tasks for small business clients using QBO, QB Desktop and Excel continuity schedules
  • Knowledge of personal and corporate taxes is an asset.
  • Some travel may be required
  • Prepare the final trial balance and maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
  • Maintain, manage and grow the listing of bookkeeping clients


Qualifications

  • Problem-solving skills
  • Understanding personal and corporate taxes is an asset
  • Ability to work with huge numbers
  • Experience in the CPA firm is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft One Drive and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in Quickbook online and desktop
  • Have critical analysis skills
