Position Overview:
As an Accountant specializing in commercial real estate brokerage, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing our financial activities related to these areas. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, analyzing investment opportunities, assessing loan applications, and providing financial guidance to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records related to commercial real estate brokerage and loan transactions. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
- Loan Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of commercial loan applications, including creditworthiness assessments, financial statement reviews, and risk analysis. Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to determine loan eligibility and terms.
- Investment Analysis: Assist in evaluating investment opportunities in commercial real estate projects. Conduct financial analysis, cash flow projections, and ROI assessments to support decision-making processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets for commercial real estate brokerage operations and lending activities. Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving financial performance and optimizing resource allocation.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines governing commercial real estate transactions and lending operations. Stay updated on accounting standards and industry best practices.
- Client Financial Guidance: Collaborate with clients to provide financial advice and guidance on commercial real estate investments and loan options. Assist in structuring deals, evaluating financing alternatives, and optimizing financial outcomes.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within the accounting and finance functions. Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with commercial real estate brokerage operations and loan underwriting processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in analyzing commercial real estate projects and loan applications.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, regulations, and practices.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the commercial real estate or lending industry.
