A minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible business/ budgetary administration experience, preferably at a post-secondary institution.

Applies sound investigational techniques designed to elicit accurate performance feedback relative to the work term experience by both employer and student.

Collaborates with faculty in investigating new and emerging trends in co-operative education and work integrated learning systems and practices.

Consult with employers to develop meaningful job descriptions to ensure an effective fit for both the student and employer.

Develop and foster employer partnerships, collaborate, and support succession planning initiatives in an increasingly competitive economic climate.

Supports students by providing expertise and insight regarding meaningful available employment opportunities, and expertise in job search techniques and resources.

Proven retail management/assistant retail management experience preferably within cosmetics

Previous retail operations experience including inventory and facilities management and cash reconciliation

Previous business planning experience including setting sales and customer service targets, sales analysis and staff scheduling

Experience of creating and executing in-store events

Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software

The ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service

Experience working with and presenting to upper management and senior executives;

Organizes, manages, prioritizes and is accountable for all project deliverables.

Manages the team members’ completion of project work and manages and resolves resource allocation conflicts.

Assesses and manages risks and issues in the context of the project and follows the appropriate escalation procedures, as required.

Conducts regular status meetings as required to effectively and efficiently manage the project work and remain aligned with the project schedule.

Communicates project objectives, requirements, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines to the project stakeholders and team members.

Proven retail experience preferably within cosmetics

Minimum of five (5) years experience of the following:

Extensive experience in results-driven marketing and communications – in an academic environment or elsewhere.

In-depth knowledge of web, digital and print production and graphic design best practices.

Experience in assigning and coordinating the work of others.

Experience must include working a student information system in a post-secondary education environment;

Minimum two (2) years practical experience working with students and/or student registration;

Experience using Microsoft Excel at the intermediate level;

Experience with Workday is a strong asset;

Ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal skills;

Proven experience in a client focused working environment;

Demonstrated effective organization, time management, and planning skills;

Assisting the Domestic and Foreign Assignment Editors, as required

Monitoring events overnight via wire/newsfeeds

Overseeing the editing of voiceovers and reporter items for on-air

Experience: 1 year of retail/sales leadership experience (supervisor or people management not necessary)

Provide technical product education by articulating the value and benefit of the product.

Develop, maintain, and disseminate product and general company knowledge through appropriate communication channels.

Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal guest experience and support store operations.

Ensure team uses in-store technology to support store operations and provide positive guest experiences.

Team lead role indirectly responsible for subset of store employees on the floor or as delegated by Store Manager

Attend staff meetings and any scheduled training, as directed, to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Communicate with the Building Services Managers and the Residence Life Managers.

Work with Assignment Coordinator and Manager, Residence Admissions and Assignments to prepare and deliver Notices to Vacate when appropriate.

Coordinate payment plans with students if directed by the Manager, Residence Admissions and Assignments.

Work with UBC Finance to transfer tuition credit to residence account, when necessary.

Document special requests and share with Manager, Residence Admissions and Assignments.

Minimum of three (3) years - a solid understanding of the delivery requirements of adult education, serving corporate clients;

Experience in a high-demand customer service environment is required;

Good working knowledge of college systems – CRM, Workday, GeneSIS, Brightspace.

Three (3) year diploma / degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field;

Planning and resourcing training events, in and outside of the college campus (700 Sussex);
