Technical Services Project Engineer Jobs

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree

5+ years’ experience in a technical role within an industrial hands-on environment, with oilfield experience being an asset

Experience with data analysis, electrical, controls, piping systems, and compressed gases is strongly preferred

Strong proven project management experience, Project Management Professional certification is preferred.

Lead the end-to-end procurement process including preparation of scopes of work, supplier selection, contractor management, and project close out.

Prepare and maintain monthly project progress reporting and schedule management.

Evaluate the geotechnical and environmental risks for the closed tailings facilities managed in the AMR region.

Evaluations and studies are conducted in conformance with the RTC standards and guidelines and the GISTM requirements.

Professional designation (eg. P.Eng. or PE) preferred or equivalent mix of education and experience.

Proven knowledge of the regulatory requirements and industry standards for renewable energy generation projects including solar, storage, and wind.

Works with contractors, vendors, internal and external collaborators to determine technical requirements for renewable projects.

Engineer with 6-8 years of experience in large scale renewable power projects, with a strong background in engineering and construction activities.

Outstanding decision making, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, demonstrating a strategic and objective approach to challenges and opportunities.

Strong leadership and interpersonal, technical, project planning and administration skills.

Ensure compliance with OHSA requirements, corporate health & safety policies and contractor safety management.

Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience with project management software tools.

Connect with Corporate Asset Management to ensure the required data from the various sanitary programs is collected and shared as required

Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Proficiency with contract management and vendor management practices in capital project settings.

At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or an Agile Business Analyst

Gather requirements from clients while simultaneously guiding them on best practices and recommendations

Document user stories, functional requirements, process flows and UACs

Create, own and manage the project plan and timeline

Plan sprints by gathering requirements, resolving client dependencies and filling the sprint backlog

Monitor and manage the team utilization and align it with their allocation

Ability to rapidly learn a wide variety of new technical skills including the MongoDB Database

Experience using or running databases (like MongoDB) as a developer or DBA

Recognize patterns, and optimally categorize and build links between related issues and projects

Genuine desire to help people succeed with our technology

Develop simple mobile applications using mobile and desktop technologies.

Develop an in-depth understanding of the MongoDB Realm and Atlas App Services platform features and architecture

Systems engineering experience, including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, clusters, and troubleshooting

Customer management - prioritization of customer work and executive communications

Experience building and maintaining complex mission-critical production database systems

Understanding and experience with Cloud architectures specifically: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Storage engineering experience, including NAS, SAN, SSD, multi-pathing, and caching

Experience analyzing issues holistically, from the application tier through the database, down to the storage

Provide ongoing systems training to customers to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to carry out work-related tasks.

Support customers both remotely and onsite for scheduled and emergency equipment needs

Comply with Health Safety and Environment policies (both FLSmidth and Client site specific requirements).

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or similar; equivalent experience will also be considered

PLC or electrical systems knowledge a plus

Valid driver’s license required; prior experience in a traveling role desired
