CRSP certification or (R)CSO certification is an asset.

Experience with Procore construction management software.

Maintain thorough documentation and reports, including proof of contractor training and certifications, equipment maintenance records, and permits.

Verify that contractors comply with safety requirements and address any deficiencies promptly.

Provide First Aid as necessary and manage related documentation.

Minimum 1+ year of experience as a Construction Safety Officer (CSO).

Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 2 certification or higher.

Perform hazard identification studies (HAZID, HAZOP), hazard analyses (PHA, SHA, OSHA, FTA), safety analyses (FFMEA, FMECA, FSA) and hazard management

Detailed knowledge of system safety lifecycle, system requirements definition, safety design concepts (system and software), safety and risk analysis

Define safety requirements; analyze and evaluate design compliance with safety requirements and safety principles

Report directly to the UK RAMS Manager and liaise with the Chief Safety Architect

Knowledge of railway signaling systems, train control systems, fixed and moving block signaling principles, relay-based and/or computer-based interlocking design

Good technical writing skills, excellent communication and analytical skills; excellent command of the English language, both written and oral

Demonstrated experience undertaking contaminated site investigations, risk management and remediation projects.

Working with the Quality Management team to uphold quality standards and procedures

Ability to manage projects of significant complexity, and often with competing priorities.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or Technologist diploma with relevant experience or similar bachelor degree.

10 years of experience, which will be a combination of technical and supervisory experience.

Demonstrated experience in environmental emergency response and incident command.
