Assist Area Managers in developing plans to increase efficiency including acquisition and implementation of new equipment

Assist in developing and rolling out technical skills training for manufacturing and assembly personnel to support the QMS.

8+ years of progressive hands-on experience in a large component manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry

Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineering, planning or Methods role.

Manage the mechanical prototype lab to enable creation, modification and testing of prototypes

Experience using CAD and CAM packages (i.e. SolidWorks, VisualMILL, WinCNC, SprutCAM, PathPilot, etc.)

Experience using Microsoft® Excel, Word, et al.

Maintenance of lab, test and measurement equipment including CNC router, CNC mill, lathe, FDM machine, environmental chambers and paint spray booth

Design, fabricate and modify experimental test apparatus

Execute mechanical verification test plans

Perform individually or as a team member with mechanical and electrical disciplines and under direct supervision of engineers and project managers;

Technologist diploma with a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering focus or equivalent experience;

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit 3D;

Interpersonal skills with team members and other disciplines;

Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in English;

Certified or working towards certification with a provincial professional association for engineering technicians and technologists, such as OACETT.

Creating and maintaining product definition, tooling, process certification, and shop order routings;

Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology;

Minimum of 3 to 6 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment (for Intermediate level);

Experience in sheet metal detail manufacturing, machining components, pneumatic and hydraulic hardware/systems, composite manufacturing, heat treating and forming operations;

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications;

Experience using CINCOM would be considered an asset.

3 - 5 years’ experience in Mechanical Design of industrial machinery, plant equipment and related systems (e.g. piping, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)

Knowledge of machining, welding and other fabrication processes, GD&T and material selection.

Design modifications for equipment and machinery and assists in developing improvements in processes and methods.

Produce drawings for new and modified equipment and machinery.

Assist in troubleshooting technical problems and recommend upgrading or modifying existing equipment.

Assist Product Standards Coordinator with configuration of products, bills of materials and associated drawings.

You have at least 2 years of Project Management experience.

You have the ability to work closely with product development, production, and product management teams to continually improve products and practices.

You have Mechanical Engineering Technologist or equivalent experience.

You have at least 2 years of experience in commissioning, maintaining, or installing related equipment.

You have experience with 8D Root Cause Analysis.

You have experience with SolidWorks and CREO software.

Ensure lessons from experience (LFE) are collated and recorded in the management system.

Be responsive to Program and Project Managers for dynamic program delivery requirements in a shipyard waterfront environment.

Be an experienced member within the Waterfront Electrical engineering section, primarily focusing on supporting both submarine electrical and electronic systems.

Experience working as a technologist or technician within the electrical or electronics discipline.

Experience working as an electrical or electronics technologist or technician in the naval environment.

Experience in mentoring/guiding technical teams desirable.

Certified or deemed eligible for certification with ASET (or similar association in another province)

0-2 years of relevant work experience

1-2 years of 3D CAD / drafting experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred)

Experience working with Mathcad software is considered an asset

Experience with ASME Section VIII Div 1 and ASME B31.3 codes is considered an asset

Experience with laser scanning technology is considered an asset

Work with technical project manager and assist with project management

Manage project execution activities including contracting, construction, and budget and schedule management under supervision of senior engineers

Experience with CRM/ ERP programs. Knowledge of NetSuite considered an asset

Minimum two (2) years of mechanical design or related experience

Working knowledge of AutoCAD with ability to create equipment layout drawings and P&ID drawings

Fluid handling systems experience is an asset

Experience with SGML/XML, Documentum or working in a Content Management System (CMS)

Proficient communication, organization and prioritization skills

Collect, organize and store parts data/artifacts in support of approved customer maintenance concept

Obtain Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) source data

Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of Repair Parts and Special Tool List (RPSTL) and/or IETM

Generate accurate illustration request to support RPSTL and IETM development

Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, control plans

Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience

2+ years of practical experience (co-op experience included)

Training/knowledge of Six Sigma techniques, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing, desirable asset

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Autodesk Inventor (required), advanced mathematical skills

Effective verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with all levels and disciplines

Participate in walkdowns of the plant to ensure configuration management is supported.

Comprehensive knowledge of the use of AutoCad

Min 2 years (4,000 hours) drafting experience required; 5-8 years within Power Generation/industrial setting, preferred.

Strong attention to detail and mathematical abilities

You will produce and maintain engineering and manufacturing documentation such as drawings instructions, bill of materials, flat patterns, and quality documentation

Years of Experience Required: 2-5+ years proven hands-on experience in 2D drafting, 3D modeling and engineering design/integration projects

Proficient in MS Office Suite - including intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Experience in Naval Warship design is an asset

Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian government security clearances (5+ years searchable Canadian history)

Utilizes industry best practices and established standards to ensure drawings adhere to corporate and professional requirements.

Diploma in an Engineering Technology discipline from a recognized polytechnic institution, or a relevant combination of drafting training and experience.

A minimum of 7 years progressively responsible drafting experience with a large oil and gas operator or engineering service provider.
