Senior Contracts Buyer Jobs

Responsible for the placement and management of Purchase Orders (via MRP or manual Purchase Requisitions) to satisfy business requirements

Facilitate shortage and backorder management by providing timely and effective communication to internal stakeholders

Participate in supplier visits, audits, and performance management activities, as required

Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration Operations Management (Supply Chain Management) or related field

Manage Strategic Procurement activities for new project quoting and implementation: Cost optimization, supplier integration and material readiness

Manage the ordering of materials, supplies and services from suppliers to promote accountability and ensure operational standards are met and exceeded

• Plan, review and manage current and future MRP requirements based on production needs.

• Continuous management of Supply Chain Projects Matrix.

• Manage all contract purchases, cancellations, and re-schedule delivery dates in and out.

Bachelor's degree or college diploma in administration, supply management, engineering, or other relevant training

Manage the logistical aspects of supply

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a purchasing role in the mining sector or similar industry

Proven negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

Work closely with project management team to ensure all materials are received in a timely manner

Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships ensuring good communication at all times

MUST have 5-10 years on the job experience in a purchasing role

MUST have proven previous purchasing experience in the manufacturing/production industry

Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

Bonus if experienced on ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Software

8+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain management or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Proactively manage planning parameters for purchased items to achieve effective and efficient execution of routine orders

Analytical skills and detail orientation

Strong verbal & written communication skills

Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (eg. Lean, Six Sigma)

Minimum 7 years progressive purchasing experience in commodities and components for the Automotive industry

Comprehensive experience drafting vendor agreements including the ability to strategically assess and mitigate risk with vendors and suppliers through well-structured agreements.

Detailed approach to projecty management with an entrepreneurial mindset in developing a team and leading projects forward through to completion

7 - 10 years’ experience as a Contract Administrator

Experience working with technical programs such as REVIT and AutoCAD

Proficient in project field reporting, field reviews, payment certification, site document processing (CCN/RFI/SI) and contract change procedures

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of maintaining high quality standards while working within tight deadlines

An in-depth knowledge of building codes and construction procedures

Degree, diploma, or certificate in supply chain management or equivalent experience

At least 8 years of experience

Category experience and prequal experience a huge asset

3-5 years of direct work experience in a buyer/senior buyer position

A minimum of five years of experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.

Experience developing and applying a project material procurement plan.

Sound working knowledge of Excel, Word and other MS Office software.

Ability to effectively manage large data files derived from ERP systems.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Post-Secondary diploma/degree in a related field such as Office Administration, Accounting, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience

Manage and monitor supplier performance to optimize the supply chain.
