2D Scene Set Up Artist Jobs in Ontario

A technical degree\diploma in engineering technology or technologist program, or appropriate combination of education & relevant work experience

Certified to automotive systems and quality requirements based on ISO/IATF 16949 Operating Systems

Write and/or modify CNC programs for lathes, milling machines, and grinders

Set up CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, SPM's based on process specifications.

Set up, and maintain automated cells including robots, conveyor, sensors and cylinders.

Read and interpret CMM reports.

Meet deadlines and quotas as assigned by production management.

Experience working with Harmony productions is an asset.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop in a similar role is an asset.

Industry experience on a 2D television, streaming, or feature production is an asset.

Paint the background layout of a shot

Complete all layouts while maintaining the style and quality of the show.

Meet deadlines and quotas as assigned by production management.

Must have strong perspective drawing skills.

Experience working with Harmony productions is an asset.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop in a similar role is an asset.

Industry experience on a 2D television production is an asset.

Draw and paint the background layout of a shot for the Animators to animate based on the Storyboard.

Meet deadlines and quotas as assigned by Supervisor and production management.

Experience with builds and rigging using Toon Boom Harmony.

2D animation experience as a builds artist is an asset; preferably on an animated series or feature production.

Experience with builds and rigging using Toonboom Harmony.

Work closely with, and take direction from the Builds Supervisor to create and revise the characters and prop builds.

Innovate creative solutions to troubleshoot.

The job is highly variable - many different projects require forms of setup.

Duties are of a general nature and are assigned by the ASM.

Duties are not typically customer facing.

Duties do not require the handling of cash, narcotics, or other highly sensitive product.

You have 3+ years of experience as a 2D Artist on web game interactive experiences

You skillfully contribute in team settings and can communicate and receive feedback effectively

You have a Degree in Art and/or Graphics (or have a similar background)

You are highly proficient with Creative Cloud

You have a solid understanding of web and mobile game production processes (HTML5/Unity)

You work collaboratively and effectively with various stakeholders (i.e game developers, game designers, and game producers)

Experience with hand held measuring equipment /blueprint & drawings

Good math and computer skills

Previous experience in a continuous production process (not assembly line) setting up, troubleshooting, tear downs, change overs

Strong mechanical aptitude and reasoning ability

Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment with continuous processes.

Experience working in plastic injection molding in a similar role will be considered an asset

The capability and experience to operate a crane and forklift in a safe and responsible manner

Full-time, 8 hours (days/afternoon/nights rotational)

Ability to perform basic math functions, including using decimals, fractions, and an understanding of weights and measurements conversions

Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
