Job Description
One of our automotive clients is looking for CNC Set up Technician in Mississauga, ON for their facility.


Shift - Days


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Write and/or modify CNC programs for lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Set up CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, SPM's based on process specifications.
  • Set-up equipment
  • Set up and maintain adjustable support tools (fixturing)
  • Read and interpret CMM reports.
  • Work in compliance with Stackpole FPS Quality Systems, Safety Systems & Environmental Systems
  • Process and tooling improvements for cost reduction programs i.e. analyze tool wear and modify programs to improve tooling cost.
  • Predict tool wear and tool changes based on SPC data
  • Set up, and maintain automated cells including robots, conveyor, sensors and cylinders.
  • Identify, select and prepare tooling


Qualifications


  • Certified to automotive systems and quality requirements based on ISO/IATF 16949 Operating Systems
  • 2 years minimum experience in the operations and set up of high volume CNC machining applications in a manufacturing environment, including CNC Machinist or CNC setup
  • A technical degree\diploma in engineering technology or technologist program, or appropriate combination of education & relevant work experience
