Overview: Road Service Mechanics are responsible for providing on-site maintenance and repair services for vehicles and equipment. They diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as perform preventative maintenance. How To Become an Road Service Mechanic: To become a Road Service Mechanic, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and complete a formal training program. You should also have experience working with vehicles and equipment, as well as knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Road Service Mechanic Skills: Road Service Mechanics must have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication and customer service skills. They must also be able to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams. Road Service Mechanic Knowledge: Road Service Mechanics must have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to diagnose and repair them. They must also be familiar with the tools and equipment used in the field.
