Reporting to the field foreman, the candidate will be responsible for servicing the Ottawa area as a technician on the road. He will be the main contact in the established territory for repairs and maintenance of our telescopic equipment: Merlo, SkyTrak and Snorkel.

Main Responsibilities

• Promote Manulift values to existing and potential clients;
• Explain diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals;
• Follow procedure for Warranty work and parts crediting;
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Employ diagnostic methodologies to determine repairs required over the telephone and on site;
• Efficiently plan and manage repairs and scheduled maintenances;
• Complete the various service documents clearly within the prescribed time;
• Order parts needed to repair and maintain equipment;

Experience And Desired Skills

• Bilingualism: fluency in French and English both orally and in writing;
• Good work ethic, meticulous, motivated and independent;
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
• Advanced knowledge in hydraulics, electrical and electronic;
• 3 years of experience as a road technician;
• 5 – 10 years of experience as heavy duty or construction equipment mechanic;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Solid aptitude in diagnostic;
• Diploma in mechanics (heavy equipment);
