Preparing and analyzing financial statements and management’s discussion and analysis for external and internal reporting

Assist in the preparation of monthly consolidation, financial statements and management reports for consolidated and legal entities

CPA with two to four years of post-qualification experience

Support other initiatives of the finance group including developing new disclosures, processes and enhanced reporting

Knowledge of IFRS and continuous disclosure securities regulations

Knowledge of accounting and information systems

Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and time-management skills

Perform ad hoc analytics as needed by Boardwalk’s Management Team or Operations Associates

Chartered Professional Accountant with 2 to 3 years work experience post designation

Knowledge of business best practices

Knowledge with accounting software and working in a fast-paced computer environment

Sound analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level and/or ladder.

Reconcile and prepare working paper support for Employee post-retirement benefits and related schedules (provided through the year)

Develop and maintain Excel models used to support accounting, reporting and compliance requirements

Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting-related experience

Strong financial analysis, reporting and communication skills

Advanced knowledge of Excel, with ability to optimize Excel models

Education or experience in Change Management or Project Management is preferred, but is not required

Remain engaged with, and current on, regulatory requirements that impact ATCO and its partners

A Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA) is required. Applicants will be evaluated based on their level of experience

A minimum of 5 years of accounting, regulatory or auditing experience

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

Prepare year-end engagements and tax returns for clients in a variety of industries with efficiency and accuracy

Conduct Notice to Reader engagements, prepare accounting and tax returns, and produce financial statements per regulatory standards

Establish positive relationships with clients and respond effectively to their requests and feedback

Advanced experience and knowledge of SAP and BI is desirable, including SAP Consolidation;

Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA) (5+ years’ experience is preferred)

Previous experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is preferred;

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently when necessary, with flexibility to adhere to deadlines;

Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills;

Experience working with large datasets and Excel Functions (VLOOKUPs, MATCH, SUMIF, etc.)

Providing strategic and expert technical advice on environmental issues, including groundwater assessments, contaminated site management, risk assessment, and remediation options.

Mandatory minimum of 5 years of direct experience in environmental risk assessment within the oil and gas industry.

Subsoil Salinity Tool (SST) certification is necessary.

Strong (8+ years) finance or accounting experience

Post-secondary qualifications resulting in a diploma or a degree in commerce or business with a focus on accounting

Experience with financial modeling and forecasting

Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. GAAP and IFRS

Exposure to a SOX compliant environment with strong knowledge of internal controls

Knowledge of auditing practices and principles

Minimum requirement, diploma or degree in Business, data analytics, a related field or equivalent experience

Coordinate with internal and external business stakeholders to understand and coordinate reporting requirements

Prepare reports based on various internal and/or external requirements

Collaborate with business stakeholders to compile qualitative and quantitative data to meet reporting requirements

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop learner and industry surveys that support data and reporting requirements

Minimum of 2-5 years' experience developing and preparing complex reporting, preferably in a funding or grant environment
