Three years of clinical experience in the care of patients with Palliative Care and medically complex needs

Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.

Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong assessment skills for patients and families with complex needs.

Graduate of an approved School of Nursing and currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Preference given to candidates with BScN

Demonstrated knowledge of patient care requirements and critical care standards for the assessment and management of the critically ill patient

Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required

A minimum of 2 years recent experience in Critical Care Nursing with adult patients

Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing care and disease process within the following populations groups: medical, obstetrical, gynecological and other sub-specialties

Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, teamwork and leadership skills

Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse

Knowledge and experience with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) patients

Knowledge and experience with G-tubes and Suctioning

Nurse (RPN or RN) with license to practice without any restrictions

Need Days & Nights IMMEDIATELY

Day & Overnight coverage (flexible on exact hours) (8 or 12hour shifts)

Extreme reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts

Minimum of 2 – 3 years related experience in a medical/surgical environment with evidence of well developed clinical skills.

Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience

You are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization skills

Recent experience in Oncology and Palliative Care

Excellent physical assessment skills; completion of a physical assessment course will be considered a strong asset

Experience in IV Therapy and central lines is an asset

Delegate clinical responsibilities to qualified staff in accordance with Chartwell policy and CNO standards of practice;

A sound knowledge and background in geriatric, rehabilitation or long term care nursing including activation, nursing, and personnel administration;

Must possess good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to

Assess and reassess the resident health status and communicate resident care needs and changes in resident status to key resident contacts;

Provides input into the discharge planning, consideration for admission and or transfer of residents into or out of the unit;

Delegate clinical responsibilities to qualified staff in accordance with Chartwell policy and CNO standards of practice;

A sound knowledge and background in geriatric, rehabilitation or long term care nursing including activation, nursing, and personnel administration;

Must possess good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to

Experience in the management of patients with Stroke would be viewed as an asset

Demonstrated ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Ability to attend work regularly; demonstrated by an acceptable attendance record

Minimum of 2 – 3 years related experience in a medical/surgical environment with evidence of well developed clinical skills.

Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience

Hands on clinical practicum (part of Michener critical care course requirements)

Small group simulation based learning and skills building

C linical placement facilitated by experienced critical care nurses

Recent experience and exposure in Intensive Care nursing preferred

Highly effective decision making, problem solving and organizational skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Demonstrated knowledge, skill and ability in health teaching with pediatric patients and their families

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or willing to complete within six (6) months from hire

Demonstrated skills in physical and psychosocial assessment specific to the pediatric population

Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills

Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
