Property Accounting Support Analyst Jobs

Experience in property management is an asset

3-5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance

Experience working with Yardi software is preferred

Supports the Senior Accounting Manager by participating on related accounting projects and initiatives such as larger scale training sessions

Shares technical knowledge by training and managing Property Accountants, Accounting Analyst and Accounting

Reviews journal entries for accounting activities and transactions to ensure in accordance with accounting policies and internal control requirements

Monitors and reports on documentation adherence to support transactions and activities, in accordance with company policies and requirements

Manages the activities of direct reports to ensure the timely achievement of department and individual objectives

Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal

Minimum of 5 years of progressive property accounting experience within the commercial real estate industry, specifically Class AAA office

Knowledge of Yardi accounting program

Fantastic communication and networking skills

Successfully complete monthly reporting and also assist and educate Property Manager and internal partners within the business.

A track record of leading successful accounting teams

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

5+ years of property management accounting experience, ideally with CAMS recovery experience

Experience with Yardi Voyageur is a must have

CPA designation (or very close to completion)

Systems savvy with MS Excel and accounting systems

**note, this is a hybrid role - 3 days a week in office

Significant experience in property management accounting is essential.

Proven managerial experience, overseeing a team of 2 or more individuals.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.

Effective communication and presentation skills to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Proficiency in Yardi, an Accounting ERP system, is strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Become a subject matter expert in relation to the commission/finance module of our Business Management System (Applied Epic)

Gather and organize relevant commission statements and prepare data for import or input to Business Management System (BMS)

Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance/accounting support role or commissions administration

Perform data entry by importing or inputting commission data from a variety of source documents into the BMS system

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Skills to perform searches to confirm information exists prior to entering data

•Experience with Arcori, Yardi, and/or non-profit housing would be an asset.
