Manager of Quality and Professional Practice - Permanent, Full-Time – Barrie, ON

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND RELATED TASKS:

• Manage projects and project teams.

• Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience in leading/facilitating QI/PI improvement initiatives (design, implementation and/or evaluation stages).

• Experiences in key performance indicators analysis, monitoring and reporting.

• Experience in not-for-profit and/or community-based organizations an asset.

Academic and clinical preparation in complex wound care management from a recognized education program

Master’s Degree in Nursing or MSc in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Minimum (5) years years direct clinical practice in complex wound management

Demonstrated experience in Adult education to design, deliver and evaluate educational programs

Develop project plans, requirements, testing and implementation plans, resources and interdependencies, monitor implementation.

A minimum (5) five years of relevant nursing experience in acute care required.

Applies acquired skills and knowledge to efficiently and independently resolve administrative issues/problems.

Work independently and interfaces with other Executive Directors, Managers and staff at all levels of the organization.

Advanced computer skills in spreadsheet, database, graphics and word processing programs is required, e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.

Effectively utilizes both verbal and written communication skills when providing advice or information or seeking/acquiring information.

Conceptual understanding of data and data management

A college diploma, or equivalent, with legal secretarial, general accounting and/or administrative specialization.

Develops and oversees the assigned registration, feedback management, or other related processes.

Knowledge of general office practice and procedures and their applications.

Coordinates, implements and tracks Professional Practice initiatives as assigned (e.g. clinical student placements, research projects, Patient Care Quality Office).

Develops, maintains and implements related databases that will track and organize the allocations of the assigned programs/projects.

Develops and maintains administrative processes for receiving, processing, cataloging and retrieving various documents and materials.

Determines changes to documentations and maintains related regional resources (e.g. clinical decision support tools, patient care quality office materials).

Experience in a supervisory or management role contributing to business operations including staff scheduling, finances, inventory and people management

Proven relationship building skills and account interaction experience

Strong communication & writing skills with proposal development experience a plus

Build and maintain a regular program of outbound campaigns, collaborating with Business Development Manager and Marketing to ensure seamless execution

Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Business Development Manager to convert leads into qualified opportunities

Management/Leadership Responsibilities: Process, Activities and Performance Management

Must be very organized and demonstrate strong prioritization skills, self motivated, and comfortable working from home

Manage 1-2 individuals initially on activities to meet lead conversion goals

Work cohesively with Services Sales Account Executives/Sales Directors to create, execute, and manage demand generation programs for their named accounts/territories

Sales/Cold Calling experience required in Salesforce, software, or SaaS applications

Salesforce experience is not required but a plus

Baccalaureate in Nursing required; an equivalent combination of education and experience of practice development in a hospital may be considered

Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Adult Education or minimum of three (3) years’ experience in teaching adult education programs

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered

Specialized sub-acute Care in rehabilitation, mental health services, complex medical management and palliative care

Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant clinical areas providing direct patient care

Canadian Nurses Association Certification in specialty area where applicable, preferred

Comprehensive knowledge of project management and change leadership methodologies.

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in a health-related discipline.

Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills in a complex environment.

Comprehensive knowledge of health profession regulatory framework and bodies including the Health Professions and Occupations Act.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to facilitate and negotiate.

Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

Coordinates and provides organization support for assigned programs and program-related activities within Professional Practice.

Ability to coordinate and evaluate processes and procedures.

Ability to plan, organize, problem solve, analyze and prioritize work.

Ability to learn software database applications.

5 to 7 years experience including experience in management and a regulatory setting.

Interpersonal, presentation, stakeholder relationship and management skills to engage others and build credibility.

Coaching and management skills to motivate and develop employees and team members.

Manage the operations of the Professional Practice Department and ensure connections with other units / departments where there are interdependencies.

Coach, manage and mentor direct reports, including recruitment and selection, training, evaluation and performance reviews.

Understanding of, or experience with, the early learning and care sector and/or RECE designation is an asset.

8+ years of experience in wealth management with exposure to client creation, relationship management, financial planning, insurance, and industry best practices

IIROC, life and health insurance licenses preferred; Financial Planning, Coaching and Change Management certification and accreditations all considered assets.

Provide oversight and guidance surrounding the firm's performance management programs

Oversee all content, processes, measurement, and communications surrounding our practice management efforts

3+ years of leadership experience, including leading remote teams

Demonstrates and role model strong communications and interpersonal skills along with a systems thinking approach when making decisions

Demonstrated high degree of independent decision-making, creativity, self-direction, motivation, change management knowledge, and team building/leadership skills.

Minimum five (5) years in a clinical role plus two (2) years related management/leadership experience.

Proven communication, critical thinking, organizational and time management skills.

Takes a lead role in the performance management process for all staff within the portfolio including attendance.

Leads ongoing change management to ensure successful changes are made within the organization that support the achievement of goals and objectives
