Post-secondary education in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Participate in the fiscal year-end process along with the Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Answer employee questions related to payroll, benefits as they arise

Participate in the preparation and rollout of group benefits open enrollment campaign

Experience administering Group Benefits and Pension/401(k)

Develop and maintain adequate internal controls to assure accuracy of deductions and billing for benefit plans

Day-to-day employee point of contact for all payroll, benefit and pension/401(k) related matters

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Canadian and/or USA processing payroll

Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely and accurate manner

Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field (preferably in business, finance or accounting)

2+ years of experience in Canadian payroll, exposure to US payroll is a plus

Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Certification

Knowledge of Canadian employment standards legislation
