· Accounts Receivable activities including processing daily invoices/credits, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances

· Maintaining accounts receivable files and records

Responding in a timely and appropriate manner to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll data

Managing employment tax compliance requirements across all jurisdictions (Canada, US, UK, Germany)

Ensuring accuracy of all payroll data, such as, benefits forms, expense reimbursements, deductions

4+ years of experience with computerized full cycle payroll and bookkeeping administration in diverse jurisdictions

Strong ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements

Knowledge of Canadian federal, provincial, and US state wage and salary laws and regulations, prior international exposure is a definite asset

General responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Reviewing and processing invoices and purchase orders.

Following up and obtaining clarification on discrepancies in approvals and amounts.

Assisting site in collection efforts.

Excellent organizational and records management skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Prepare various management reports and analysis.

1-2 years of progressive experience in full-cycle accounting with knowledge of how payroll functions

Implement policies and drive process improvement with evolving requirements of the business

Background in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping are assets with experience working with QuickBooks Online.

Develop technical skills in areas such as: compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax

Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, manage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory counts

Completion of, or working towards, a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred)

Completion of, or working towards, prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon commencement of employment

Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset

Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset

Assist with reporting, if required, by the management and respond to various queries and requests from external auditors

Minimum 1 year work experience in an Accounting-related role

Experience working with ADP and BambooHR would be a strong asset

Process payroll for both Canadian and USA-based employees on a semi-monthly basis

Process full-cycle, high volume accounts payable in a timely manner

Review invoices and ensure coding is accurate, appropriate approvals have been met, and taxes are properly recorded
